Micah Lancaster does not like riding the bench. At Spring Arbor University, he broke all kinds of records and started most games for the Cougar basketball team in a bright four-year career. He scored 2,393 career points and dished out 751 career assists on his way to two NCCAA titles.

Juniors Erin Rotuno and Ephraim Wilkoff took the stage as middle school teachers Marty Colt and Bonnie Mohann Colt set out to clean up popular songs heard at Spring Arbor, like "Eman's Mom has got it going on" and "How Rad is our God.

The democrats are locked in an epic battle of youth vs. experience, black vs. white, male vs. female and good vs. better. The last issue is really what's dividing the party. There are a lot of people convinced one of them will do a good job. The problem is that the longer this nonsense goes on, the bloodier it will get.

I distinctly remember Michael Stinson running up to me and posing the question about whether I'd be interested in being the Crusader's photo editor.
Dear Editor,

I was disappointed and upset when I looked through the most recent issue of the Crusader, highlighting the departments that help life on campus to run smoothly. You talked about the library, campus safety and even the Crusader office, among others, but you failed to mention several key facets, from maintenance to the dining commons to the campus bookstore.

America's 2008 presidential elections have always had clear front-runners. This year is something totally different. The Republican Party battled it out with Senator John McCain becoming the victor for his party. For a while I thought both Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee had a chance but I guess America was clear who it wanted to run for the Republican Party.

Why We're Not Emergent (By Two Guys Who Should Be) by Kevin Deyoung and Ted Kluck is important. The emerging church movement (or discussion) is a huge part of the U.S. church landscape. Books and writings from authors like Brian McLaren, Peter Rollins, Doug Pagitt and Rob Bell are flooding college campuses with a fresh perspective on Christianity and some very good critiques of the modern church.

-"Shake It Out" by Tilly and the Wall. This oldie-but-still-very-goodie is the epitome of summer songs. You can almost feel your arms floating out the car window on a road trip with the femme-melodic mix of light and whimsical dance beats, reference to the "hokey-pokey" and a tap-dancing drummer.

The summer of '08 will be filled with sure-to-be-blockbuster hits just like the summers before it. It is also another franchise summer where sequels to popular movies will be debuting along with two movie adaptations of 60's television classics. So here is a list of movies that will steal you away from the summer sun for a while or maybe save you from restlessness on a rainy day.
